Google “TransMXF” and there’re some MXFconverters shows up. But where to find your MXF? they’re stored in Video under Contents of P2. you may need to manually import them one by one. And only MXF in completed folder can be imported to MXF converters.
hope it helps.————————————————-

October 9, 2011 at 9:02 am in reply to: How can I convert .mov H.246 files to a codec final cut pro 7 can work with??Yep, Shane is right. Prores is FCP’s natve format, and requires no rendering when importing to FCP 7.
Actually, there’re so many video converters to access pro res output.————————————————-

I’m sorry to let u know there’s no possiblity of no lossing any quality if re-encoding. Since the frame rate has neen changed from 29.97 to 25, the quality must be affected.
And as for how to convert it. I googled and found a forum which mainly discussed about NTSC and PAL. hope it helps.

For low price to get a P2 converter, maybe u need APP especially designed for MXF files. Google transmxf to see if there’s one to meet your need.

between NTSC & PAL, the main differences is the frame rate, NTSC with 29.97 fps, and PAL with 25. it’s very easy, using third party software with NTSC (*vob) and PAL (*vob) output, you can get the both formats

Actually, u can convert to AIC(*mov), which can be recognized by FCP, still without rendering, just as ProRes to FCP 6 or above.

September 22, 2011 at 8:49 am in reply to: convert 24 fps to 30 fps for XDCAM exportAs for your 3:2 pulldown conversion. Here’s detailed info:
Film runs at a rate of 24 frames per second, and video that adheres to the NTSC television standard runs at 30 frames a second. When film is converted to NTSC video, the frame rates need to be matched in order for the film-to-video conversion to take place. This process of matching the film frame rate to the video frame rate is called “3:2 pulldown.”
