Where is your footage from?
How do you play the rendered video? -
Hi,
1. downaload a newer nvidia driver (later than 44.45), but for that card you don’t need the newest available, however you can choose it.
2. Install that driver.3. Plug your TV aux video in to your cards TV out using RCA, and don’t forget, the cable has to be a 75 Ohm coaxial, otherwise video
signal gets corrupted, distorted.
(You may also use SVideo, if your card has such output, and your TV supports S-video, in this case you might get better image quality).4. After you installed the drivers, plugged your TV correctly,
right click the desktop, choose properties choose settings.
Click advanced (or special – sorry I’m using a localized version of windows, can’t remember the correct button name).
After that choose “your card name” tab, at left side look for something like “nview settings” in this you can set up clone mode, or dualview etc.Somwhat under “nview settings” look for something like “full screen video”, here set up the “secondary display” to be the full screen video device.
5. Look up Mike’s homepage at https://mikecrash.wz.cz/
and download the tv out filter. Follow instructions,
and enjoy Vegas displaying your preview window on TV

I did a quick test.
My 2 drive array (2*maxtor IDE 80G 8MB cahce)
tranfers about 74MB/sec.
My second drive, (160GB maxtor, IDE 8MB cache)
transfers about 56 MB/sec.These are measured with nero’s “test all drives
speed”. -
And speed.
2 drive in raid 0 is also faster than only 1 drive.
Speed increease depends on the implementation, but
THEORETICALLY
the maximum increase is 2x. -

No matter what I do, if the second video channel
is present, DVDA wants to recompress the video.
Eve if the other channel is empty, or contains
exactly the same video.So, there’s no trick…

I’m going to make some experiments
what happens if I make sure an I frame
in angle1 meets another I frame in angle2.
Of course IBPB groups are the same, since the
rendering template is the same.I’ll be back…
…with the results sooner or later.

Ooops, that could be a bottleneck.

Mode 1, 25.0
Mode 2, 33.3
Mode 3, 44.4
Mode 4, 66.7
Mode 5, 100.0If your drive is really a 7200 rpm, should be
capable to mode 4 at least.Either your dirve is defect, or it’s cable
is not a 80 conductor wire.
Try to capture to the drive that works in mode 5,

Usually hardware that digitize video and adudio with different
clocks have this issue.If that hardware supports directx capture, you could use
virtualvcr (I mentioned it here before).

What kind of firewire do you use?
Onboard/standalone PCI?
Chipset?If You use standalone PCI FW, try it in another
slot – there may be some IRQ conflict.How often do you defrag your drives?

Check, if you are capturing to compressed drive/directory?
Ntfs allows such compression, and it caused me problems before.
Be sure, the folder where you capture to is uncompressed.By(t)e
