I’ve heard that it seems that Canon’s own C-log is not as flat, as – for example – Sony’s S-log.

when you check the rendered h264, do you use quicktime, or VLC?
Even players will play some file types differently.(my h264 renders are less saturated played on quicktime, and they’re just about right in vlc)

I’m not telling this for sure, but the way I understand it, the “realtime proxies” mode helps you, when you don’t have the processing power (GPU, CPU) to grade full-resolution DPX sequences. But this needs the same HDD bandwidth reading the files (after reading it resizes it, so it’s faster to grade).
You’ll need to create real proxies, or create a software RAID:)

even easier, and it needs only one power window, if you create a power window, set the “In-Out” switch next to the power window name to Out, and then apply the blur.

yes, but also if you buy 256GB drives (16 of them:), you would need more cards, more cases.
Anyway…For 2K, I think HDD raid is cheap and enough. For 4K, maybe SSD raid would be better.

– 5x1TB HDD: 400€So you have a 4TB Raid array with protection for 900€
What would be the price for SSD’s?
