May 20, 2013 at 1:15 am in reply to: Plug-In Video FX Control Problems, Tried everything even reinstalling and uninstallingHello all. I just wanted to update on the status of this problem. Frustratingly the problem still showed up as uinstalling and reinstalling was a temporary fix. I also use Adobe Premiere and it gives me the BSOD with an NVIDIA issue, I ended up fixing and updating the correct driver, as for some reason NIVIDIA tells me to download the wrong one and along with the update which seems to have bugs. So after installing an update to the video driver all problems are solved including the video FX problems with SONY VEGAS and the crashing with ADOBE PREMIERE.
So if you know anyone else with similar problems I suggest checking the video drivers. I thought it was my monitor causing me issues turns out my computer just installed the wrong driver.
Thanks.

I installed the latest Sony Vegas Version .563. I’d figured there were Remnants of Sony Vegas in the Registry Key just didn’t know where. Mike’s Post was what done it.
My computer Crashed 3 weeks ago, and it might have messed up the registry a bit.
The link doesn’t work, but I took of the % sign at the end and it worked: https://www.custcenter.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4844/kw/uninstall/session/L3RpbWUvMTM2NzMzMzY5Ny9zaWQvOGJqaHMqb2w
I don’t know if me deleting the registries in the WOW6432 did the trick.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sony Creative Software
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sony Media SoftwareI also decided to uninstall: Microsoft .NET Framework versions, and the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable software and did the update.
I was a little worried that I had to restore my entire computer, but it takes time reinstalling all these production programs I have. Probably at least 2 weeks, something I was not looking forward to.
Thank you everybody for your ideas, they helped a bunch!
Also if anyone is having plug-in problems, I recommend using the step in the link above!
Take care.

Hi. Lol. Honestly I don’t think their is a way to fix the problem in 11. After spending an hour on trying to go back and forth from the VFX leaving and entering, that didn’t work. I’d suggest going back to 9 or 10. 10 doesn’t have as much issues, aside from ghost keyframes which can be fixed by leaving and entering. With 11, I got a crap load of crashes, which I did not get as much with 10. Because of these problems, I just uninstalled and went to the older version 10.

Hi, yes I had ghost keyframe issues with 10, but what I found to fix that was to exit the VFX and re-enter it which has seemed to help. I recommend sticking with 10 thought 11 just has too much problems and I really can’t seem to get a decent video especially with the keyframe issues. Although I do like the fact 11 encodes and renders video much faster with a smaller size.

Thank you for the response Jeff, Yes I will submit a report fix. Seeing even the lower build had problems of version 11, I think I will just stick with Vegas 10.
kudos,
Kyle
