We’re seeing the same issue here in QA and are working on a fix right now that will be released in a dot update of our drivers. For other customers, I would not recommend updating to OS X 10.5.6 until such a fix is issued.

We are indeed working on CS4 support and hard at it as well. I’m not trying to make excuses but implementing support for a new version of NLE is always tricky as there may be significant architectural changes that we have to cater for. Hi Stuart,

1. Yes, you can capture directly via SDI into DVCPRO HD format (or any of the formats we support). Simply use the “Blackmagic HDTV 1080PsF 23.98 – DVCPRO HD” easy setup and you will be good to go.

2. Yes, but it will come in via HDMI at 1080i59.94 so you’ll have to find a way to remove the pulldown in order to get your 23.98 clip so that they will match. However, you can try mixing the 2 formats in the same Final Cut sequence and see how well Final Cut Pro handles it.

Hi Gustavo,

1:1 pixel monitoring is really a feature of the HDMI monitors and the HDMI output of Multibridge Pro simply sends out the requested picture format. If you’re monitoring SD video, then SD video at 720×486 will be sent and on a supported monitor, you simply toggle the require settings to ensure that it is not scaled.

You’ll definitely need new CS4 compatible drivers. The current drivers for CS3 will not work. Other than that, all I can say is that we’re definitely working on it.
