I’m glad you bypassed the texture preview problem, If you are using Primitive Objects make it editable this should make the viewport match the RS render view in the different material projections, let me know if this works.

Hi Matt,
Click on the material then click on Viewport at the top of the material attributes, then change the Texture Preview Size from default to a large size as you want. let me know if this works for you.

You are welcome, Mauricio! As for R24 I’m not on my pc now but I think what’s different is not holding Control with the double-click to lock or unlock, I’m not sure.

No worries! yes, you can lock an axis by pressing Ctrl and double-clicking on the axis the axis color will turn yellow or white in the last versions then you can unlock it again in the same way Ctrl double-click as in the screen recording below, let me know if that works for you.

The axis misaligned only affects if you select more than one object and record their rotation in the timeline, but if the objects are under Null Object so you will not need to make it aligned, I opened the file you sent and it works fine without any wobble! as the screen recording below, did you make any changes to the axis locations or to the workspace?

In Windows the problem that happened to you I think can be overcome by running Cinema 4D as administrator to avoid possible interference between it and the system files of any programs that you may have installed recently. The method described in the link is the equivalent of running a specific program as administrator but on a Mac. You are right to not do anything without consulting an expert so I suggest that you re-post the topic in the Apple forum you will find here those who can help you.

The axis of the object might be slightly off. You could use the Centre Axis To tool and try again. If the situation doesn’t improves, please post your file so I can check it.

Hi Chris,
This maybe due to other applications being installed recently or something happening in the system but I think you could bypass this by running your program in “with administrator privileges” mode using do shell scripts in AppleScript or “sudo” command in the terminal, I have put a link below explaining how to do this.
