Thanks, I was afraid of that but I thought I would ask of someone more experienced than I.

Use multitrack mode or a multitrack daw and sync up the music where the horn is with a copy of the music playing. As you bring down the horn volume, use the music in the other track to offset the loss of volume of the music. You may have to work with the music track to match the way the track sounds live.

    Might work

Could never find a reason for the problem. As I looked through the console logs there were errors as FCP looked for resources. Reinstall of OSX seems to have cleaned up the issue.

Are there ease in or ease out controls for the speed? I can’t find them. I just installed FCPX yesterday so I am working through the changes from 7.

    Thanks

Boris continuum Complete has a range of keying options that work really well. That have a version that works with FCPX which I will be trying out soon since I just bought FCPX. I’ve been able to key many poorly shot clips fairly well with it.
I work at a school so we don’t have the resources to record in a quality green screen area.

Thanks, That’s what I did for motion. Just wanted to follow up now that some people have used X and 7 together for while.

Thanks, what I did when I installed motion was create a folder called Final Cut X and move motion there, then move FCP7 back to the applications folder.
Motion didn’t seem to care where it was stored but since I didn’t have FCP X I don’t know if the connection between Motion 5 and X would be affected.

    Thanks again.

Thanks, that what I thought. So there really isn’t anything in Grafitti 6 that isn’t in Red 5 either?
