Gary,

I’m dealing with programs which have been recorded in 5.1 surround in our TV and FM studios. Our audio engineers supply the surround sound audio as wave files and we use that to edit the programs in FCP for broadcast. We are playing out the finished shows in 5.1 using the Aja’s embedded HD-SDI outs. Is it possible to get that same audio mix from the HDMI out and send that to a speaker system for monitoring playback? Or would the security protocols you mentioned prevent that, even if the content is our own?

I picked up a $30 plugin from Popwire.com to get wmv-9 export capability from FCP. I’m sure it’s not as complete as the Flip4Mac package I was going to buy, but for $30 its been pretty handy.

I just got the same assignment, one of our shooters had a spot on his lens that he needs removed or at least minimized. My plan is to bring the footage into AfterEffects, mask out the problem spot and fill the mask with the same piece of video shifted slightly to one side. His stuff is mostly nature stuff, running water and rolling clouds, so I may be able to get away with this. As I say, though, it’s the plan . . .

So, there is no reason you know of why my delete key would be fuctioning as a ripple delete?
