no deck control via firewire
I run Final Cut Pro 6.0.6 and capture in DVCProHD via the Aja Kona LHe. My Sony HVR-M35U deck has no RS-422 output, so I’ve always used Final Cut’s “DVCProHD Firewire” capture setting for machine control. Lately, that setting has stopped working. I can still get deck control when capturing HDV straight through firewire, but I would rather continue to capture DVCProHD through the Kona LHe. Any ideas on how to get my DVCProHD Firewire capture setting working again?

Set the deck to downconvert to DV via firewire. Then set your deck control to be firewire, but set your capture settings for DVCPRO HD via SDI.
