You have to create merged clips one at a time with the current version of Premiere Pro. Sorry!

To think…all those years on FCP that you’ve been chopping off an extra frame without even knowing about it. The horror! 😉
Yes, with most NLEs you have to go backward one frame to use the playhead to mark out.
That’s why it is better to use the “Mark Clip” function for marking an In and Out mark. Mark Clip will always set your Out point the way you’d expect.

Our frontline support is in India, and it’s no generic call center, these are Adobe employees. If they can’t solve your problem, it’s a difficult one. I meet with reps of this group weekly, and we do discuss the tougher cases.
If support isn’t helping you, you can request if your case can be escalated. If your support case gets bumped to tier 2 or 3, you might get stateside support.
Otherwise, you might do well to simply post your problem here or on the Adobe Premiere Pro forums.

Actually, what you want is the extract function. Mark in and out and then click the Extract button. This removes in to out and places the remainder on the clipboard.

Try these things:
•Follow these instructions: https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/playback-stops-loops-soundbooth-premiere.htmlIf that doesn’t work, try the following:
•Import the footage via the Media Browser, not File > Import
•Drag n drop a clip to the New Item button to ensure you have the proper sequence settings.
•As was suggested, drop playback res to 1/2 or 1/4

1) You can add clip markers to merged clips in the Timeline after creating the shortcut as I mentioned earlier.
2) You can add clip markers to either audio or video of a merged clip by pressing Option and then double clicking on the audio or video portion of a clip. Once loaded into the Source Monitor you can add clip markers to audio or video.
3) You cannot add clip markers to a merged clip in the Source Monitor.
