I came to Adobe during CS5 and I’ve been very, very impressed with the Premiere Pro team. I worked on the FCP team too, so I do have a benchmark. The AE team is really awesome, I do agree with that.

My biggest pet peeve is having to deselect ripple or selection tools before trimming in the opposite direction. I have made my own feature request for that.

If the frame rate is 29.970, it will drift. It should be locked to a frame rate supported by the codec, namely 29.976 in your case. You may want to interpret the file to get a proper frame rate. If that doesn’t work, transcode it.
