[Nick Kessler] “With no prores choices as a means of export, then what is my best solution or compariable solution?”You can export ProRes media if you’re on a Mac and have FCP installed. No problem. Set Format to QuickTime, then go to the video tab in the lower part of the interface and choose Codec > ProRes 422 (or what have you). I usually create presets for this.

Yes, it’s called Adobe Media Encoder. Click Export to export from Premiere Pro, press the Queue button to launch Media Encoder. It works as a standalone app, as well.

You might try “Add Edit to All Tracks.” It will place an Add Edit without track selection. However, it will place an add edit where you might not want one. Make a feature request if you like.If you want to save multiple effects as a single preset, make a feature request. That would be a good one: https://www.adobe.com/go/wish

Hi Joe,
Premiere Pro works best with a script that is already transcribed. Then it matches the speech to the text so that you can edit using the words instead of in/out points or timecode. You can transcribe, however, the quality might be lower than what you desire. You’ll have to run a test first and see if it will work for you. It should save you time, regardless.This article is a little dated, but I find it helpful in devising a workflow.

Hi Alex,
Let me see if I can help:1. When you click on the Source Monitor to drag a clip to the Timeline it is automatically selected. I don’t experience a delay, so not sure why that is annoying.
2. Sorry the controls don’t feel right. In Premiere Pro CC, we have keyboard shortcuts to moving audio levels, maybe that would work better for you.
3. It doesn’t work like FCP. You can operate with a stereo clip in a single track, not two separate tracks. If that isn’t working for you, create a sequence with stereo tracks.
4. See 3. You are not using the right audio tracks.
5. Just press Caps Lock on your keyboard.
6. See if pressing Shift 5 will help. That opens the Effect Controls panel.
