CC Project Manager not working
Posted by Morten on August 27, 2013 at 7:09 pmI am trying to consolidate a project with ProRes footage, in order to backup used footage – but the CC Project Manager stops after a while, and reports a general error.
Machine is MacPro2008, 16Gb Ram, ATI5770, OS10.8.4
Looks like the Project Manager works fine on my MBP, but this is another project with MTS footage.

2 x Finalcut Studio3, 2 x Prod. bundle CS6, 2 x MacPro, 2 x ioHD, Ethernet File Server w. X-Raid…. and FCPX on trial

September 4, 2013 at 5:11 amKevin having the same problem even trying to move files with Project manager — not consolidating and triming – this is with XDCAM EX footage on Premiere Pro CC Timeline — is this just impossible with anything but pro-res..if so this is problem as the big plus is not having to transcode to edit, but having no way to consolidate and archive the problem without going back and transcoding and relinking everything later…

September 4, 2013 at 1:52 pmKevin – follow up – I brought all the files into Prelude – transcoded to Pro Res – reconnected in Premiere and used Project Manager – that worked.
Is Premiere Pro incapable of project managing long GOP files including XDCAM and XDCAM EX…what about DVCPRO HD (haven’t tried that yet)
Also by all accounts – the creative cloud app is a mess – getting lots of failed updates and am now afraid to update critical files (premiere and after effects) having read nightmare stories of messing with the program and then getting locked out of using the apps altogether… any resources to fix thise issues?

“Where? Other than the issues when Creative Cloud App first launched, we’re not having any update issues with the Creative Cloud aspect on 6 systems here at my shop and my system at home.

September 4, 2013 at 6:40 pmWe keep getting the same error – which Adobe site forums indicate are fairly common as they have entire three step process to eliminate them (the one that works seems to be uninstalling and re-installing everything) but it keeps cropping up – we use the app to update — and get a hit or miss result – some fail some don’t….frustrating when this seems to be the only way to update
