There are no “zebra stripes” in Premiere Pro (make a request for them here: https://www.adobe.com/go/wish).You have to use the vectorscope to detect excess chroma (and the Waveform monitor for excess luma). Before FCP had those visual indicators, I used the waveform monitor and vectorscope in that application.
To be sure your color correction is within safe limits, you can always use the Broadcast Colors effect to be sure that you’re within broadcast safe spec.

It could be a number of things, but I suspect it’s a performance problem related to your system. Do you have the media on a separate high speed array? What happens with footage that is not AVCHD and/or a less complicated timeline?Thanks,

As a workaround, you might try deleting the media cache files before exporting.

If OMF export does not work from Premiere Pro, you might try sending the audio to Audition and export an OMF from there. See if that works.
