Premier Pro CC has encountered an error.
Posted by Isaac Brillant on December 15, 2013 at 6:38 pmHi,
I keep getting the following error, after which PPro CC says a serious error has occurred and it shuts down:
Premier Pro has encountered an error.
[/unreel64/releases/2013.10/shared/adobe/MediaCore/MediaLayer/PlayerHost/Make/Mac/…/…/Src/VideoPlayerProxy.cpp-414]This is a long shot but would anyone here have the slightest idea what this might mean or where I should look?
thanks

December 16, 2013 at 11:01 pmHi Isaac and Justin,
I believe this bug is caused by pressing shift+spacebar when doing a voice over.
We should have this fixed in the upcoming patch within the week. For now the workaround is set preroll duration to 0.
Sorry for the trouble.
Best,

December 17, 2013 at 9:32 amThanks for the reply. Meanwhile, I fixed it by going back to an older version of the project from autosave, and doing a clean reinstall of Premiere Pro.
(I wasn’t doing voiceover. could it be caused by hitting shift+spacebar when just doing regular editing?)

December 18, 2013 at 1:50 amI’m having the same problem and I have not done any voice over. I can really seem to pinpoint when it is happening but the two times I noticed what I was doing before it quit was fast forwarding through the timeline, and scrubbing through the timeline. ISSAC: did re-installing work?

Yes this error may occur outside those exact steps but we still believe it’s related. We should have a update for you very soon.
Please let us know if you encounter this error after the update.

December 18, 2013 at 8:05 pmForrest – It’s only happened once since I reinstalled. Before that it was happening after only a few seconds of editing.
