Yes, Adi,
This is a common issue and one I should probably blog about. Customers have a hard time finding that they can ripple/roll with transitions attached, you just have to aim for the small area above the transition. It also works if you click below the transition. If you aim there even roughly, yes, you can easily do a quick click and drag.On the Adobe forums, there was quite an impassioned plea from one user to make the transition icons smaller for just this reason.
Personally, I wish the tools would “just work” by clicking and dragging anywhere on the middle of the transition, as you were attempting to do. Please make a feature request: https://adobe.ly/feature_request
