Are you checking this on an NTSC monitor?
What do you mean precisely by “field rendered”? Should be lower field first with DV-NTSC.

No, I don’t think so. Why don’t you go down to the computer shop and purchase a computer monitor? They’re pretty cheap nowadays.
I just bought this cool LG LCD panel. It takes feeds from the computer and plays back video. So I have a second computer monitor and video monitoring in one package. It was $599.

In general, you can’t do this after the fact, you have to do it while you log your clips. Then you batch capture them “with handle”. Basic video editing technique, sorry to say.
You don’t log your clips? Then there’s no way to get that function. Nice try though. You’ll have to do it clip by clip.

I operated a 10 seat Xsan in the Spring at, shall we say, a large computer company–and it’s not that bad to operate. You just have to be aware of all the IP addresses of the nodes. A little UNIX helps, but I had all the relevant commands in Apple’s Xsan Pro Training Book. It’s slim, but has all the info you’d need to keep your SAN up and running. It’s so cool to be able to pull media from one souce. It makes for a very smooth workflow with ProApps. Most cool is distributed encoding for DVDSP and rendering for Shake.
That being said, I’ll take a look at EditShare. I’m curious.

Capture Now?
184 Minutes?
Wait, don’t tell me….FireWire drives?All a recipe for disaster bro.
I’d set in and out points for 6 30 minute clips to batch capture.
So what happened to the first clip? I don’t ever think it was actually ever captured.
When a Capture Now kraps out, you get nadda, zilch. ZERO.
Tough break to learn, a lot of time to waste too.
Log and Batch Capture shorter clips if you don’t want this to happen to you again.Kevin Monahan

CNTRL-S. Solos a clip in a composite. Very nice…..
CNTRL-B. Clip visibility. Turn off a clip instead of losing render files on an entire track.
My Favorite?
I’ve mapped Composite Modes to CMD+OPT+ 1-9 on the numeric keypad.
A fast way to cycle through all the composite modes.
