Capturing a Flash Movie
I’m rather a newbie, but I’m not sure this is a newbie-level question. (I sincerely hope it is)…
A client has asked us to create a DVD with content that was built in Macromedia Flash. Unfortunately we cannot simply export video from the original Flash file, because the animation is dynamically generated via fancy coding (no simple timeline animation).
In order to avoid dropped frames due to a bogged processor, we are using two computers: one to run the Flash file and the other to capture. The Flash file is running on a PC (the app is PC only), which is connected to a Canopus ADVC 110 via s-video, and then out to a dual 2-gig G5 Mac via Firewire for capture in FCP.
We’ve played with various capture settings in FCP. All give really bad results.
