Use the Find function. Edit > Find. Then choose Unused media from the pop up menu there. Does that do what you want?

I don’t suggest you do this. As good as an idea as this may seem, I think it’s detrimental to do so, ultimately. I learned on Avid and then learned FCP, and even though that was before the remappable keyboard, I found that in the long run, it was easier to keep the two systems compartmentalized in my noggin – keyboard shortcuts and workflow included.

But whatever works for you. I have heard there is an Avid>FCP keyboard preset floating around on the net somewhere. Try Google.

We all have different methods to get from point A to point B for our jobs, depending on the type of production – those methods can vary quite a bit. ‘Nuff said.

You can use a shortcut for entering all those :00.
Just type “period” for each set of double zeros.

I was told by a DVD Replicator that when you are burning a DVD (and want a good solid burn) you should only have DVDSP running. Don’t know if it’s true, but there you go.
