    I have made a great deal of gif animations. I use AE, then export it in an image sequence, chose tiff. save it to a file, then Import it into image ready, fix it up a bit if needed from there. It works like a charm.

    I appreciate your input the both of you, and I think your right Jim there is a little box at the bottom of the comp window that changes pixel aspect ratio, so it looks proper… that seems to have done the trick. Thanks for the help.

    This interests me as well…. sorry to respond with a question. So you can zoom in a bit on the shot with HD and not compromise quality if your final output is SD? Do the programs such as AE and PP experience lag when using HD? and How much room does HD require on your hard drive?

    I am interested in a new camera, and want to make the right decision without Increasing my editing equipment budget.

    Does it stretch the picture? I have a tv in my bedroom with the dvd player hooked into the cable port, cuz the tv is pretty old .. no video jacks.. and it stretches the picture.. the other tv’s read it fine.

    Thank you Steven, I fiddled with many different settings, and that seems to be best.

    I would just transfer via firewire, then burn on disk in avi format, it takes two DVD’s for one tape, but I cannot see quality loss. I would still keep original tapes.
