I burned up a couple of camcorders a number of years ago from trying to edit to a vcr. rewinding and fastforwarding was a major cause of it. Remember its always the moving parts on anything that wear out quick. I will take no chances on using the camera motor more than necessary. 30 bucks for a rewinder is a small amount to pay for my paranoia.

just wondering if applying some sharpness might help? it will look digitally enhanced but may help…
