    hello all

    is there a way to use the steady filter without loosing quality in the render
    ive tried different set ups and all seem to reduce the quality of the movie

    They always will reduce quality.

    The filter is trying to create new frames of media based on shakey versions – something has to give and that is the quality.

    Generally, just imagine that the steadymove utility zooms in so that the edges don’t show as it adjusts an area in each frame to be in the same place instead moving around. It is the zoom that causes the loss.

    just wondering if applying some sharpness might help? it will look digitally enhanced but may help…

    true; and so an option would be to reframe the sequence with a black border. You might also get points for “creativity;” I suspect many a “creative” black-and-white scene originated as a scene with the wrong color balance.
