All your project files, etc will be fine when you re-install Vegas.

I have done this many times.

I’ve been using an internal LG blu ray burner for three years now, with no problems, and they also make external burners, so I would recommend an LG.

I have noticed lately that it seems a little slower to refresh than it used to, but it’s still fast enough that it’s no big deal.

  • Hi John, that makes sense and yes, I did have an old version, 2.0. So I uninstalled version 2.0 and installed version 2.4 and I’m still getting exactly the same error message. I tried Vegas 11 and 10 and got the errror message on both, haven’t tried it on 8 or 6 yet.

Thanks, Mark, you are a legend. I could see within the New Blue window when you click on transitions it tells you to drag them to the timeline, but I took that to mean the Vegas timeline, not the New Blue one. You are absoluteley correct that once it’s on the New Blue timeline it’s also in the Vegas timline and preview. Thanks again. 🙂

I think it expires today. I took advantage of the offer a few days ago and the disc took a whole 2.5 days to get from Wisconsin to me in Australia, so I am very happy.

  • Just letting you know that everything is working fine with the new power supply. Thanks, you guys, especially Steve, for your awesome help. I really appreciate it. 🙂

  • Thanks, Steve. I really appreciate your help.

  • So, Steve, what are your thoughts about the 620W high current gamer Antec PSU?

Does that make sense that this PSU will keep the graphics card running smoothly?

  • I checked with somebody at the place which sells PSUs etc to see what they had in stock and he agreed that 313W or 380W is a bit under spec for video editing. He suggested I try an ANTEC “high current gamer” 620W PSU as it will keep a constant current supply to the graphics card.

By the way, this computer has a dedicated 1 GB Nvidia GT 430 graphics card – this guy said that it is pretty mcuh bottom of the line for video editing, so that Antec PSU should help it a bit.

He suggested to replace the PSU first and if there are still problems to change out the graphics card for something better.
