I found in Vegas 8 (not DVDA):
Tools->Burn Disc-> Blu Ray Disc Then you have the choices of:
    -render Image & Burn BD
    -Render Image only
    -Burn existing image

and choice for Compression, including MP4 etc.

I actually burned a 1.5 hour BR image (18 GB). Getting my Sony burner today. Let you know what happens.

Open the Pan/Crop for a clip. On the top it will say: “UNTITLED”. Open up that box and you will find 16×9, 4×3 and others. Just choose 16×9 and the the entire clip wiil be cropped to 16×9.

Open two instances of DVDA (that is click on it again after the first has opened) and direct each instance to a seperate burner.

I also prefer Vegas since Vegas 3. I also use FCP.
Now with the new Intel Macs, you may not have to choose.
I have an Macbook pro. I set up BOOTCAMP so I can run XP or Vista and MAC OS on the same computer. Vista (and Vegas8) runs good and fast on BOOTCAMP.
I also added MacDrive 7 so I can transfer files from Mac to Vista and back.
I can run FCP and Vegas on the same computer.
I also use CineForm (cineform.com) which can generate Hi Def intermidiary in .AVI and .MOV form so I can transfer footage even in HD between FCP and Vegas (like for color correction in FCP COLOR).

I have Canon HG10. It generates MPG4. The file extentions are: .MTS

Vegas 7 will not recognize it, bur Vegas Pro8 will and you can edit it. So, you might have to upgrade to VPro8.

I have an Intensity card (the $250 one). Blackmagic has a Beta driver for Vpro8. Download it from their website. I am using the Intensity card and it works. Connect the hdmi out to you HD display.

As suggested you can render each segment to AVI then put both on a timeline, put a marker at the beginning of the second for a chapter.

Or edit each movie in a separate project (.veg). Then import each .veg file into a new project (nesting) and render to mpg2 as with the AVIs.

If you have the YourProject.veg.bak file in you directory, open that one by renaming it to YourProject.veg.veg
Sometimes the Project file gets damaged but the .bak will work.
