I am having trouble reading H.264 compressed files. They are saved as .Mov but can be changed to MPEG 4.

I’m running Vegas 6 right now… anyone know how to get Vegas to read my files? If I change the extension to MPEG 4 it allows me to view the audio, but I get nothing out of the video. In fact, it does not even place a video track in the timeline. Any suggestions?

If it helps, I’m trying to edit my Aiptek A-HD camcorder clips.

    Thanks!

I am having the same issues on Vegas 7 however it is not just H.264 files, I am also experiencing divx issues when I try to import? Only audio is importing. Is there a way around this?

    Any help would be great.

I have Canon HG10. It generates MPG4. The file extentions are: .MTS

Vegas 7 will not recognize it, bur Vegas Pro8 will and you can edit it. So, you might have to upgrade to VPro8.
