The original layer is still all there. Just drag out the end. Then you can delete the “split” version.

They are probably at exactly the same Z position. Try moving the text forward one point.

If I’m interpreting your images correctly (always doubtful…) it looks like you need to re-position the anchor point of your arrow and rotate it to make it line up with the oval.
But if the plan is to have the arrow and line trace the oval, simply pasting the position info into the arrow won’t give you that effect. You might be better off adding a stroke to the oval path to create the line and just pasting the position info into the arrowhead alone, then align the arrowhead to the path.

Try using the Image Trace tool in Illustrator to turn your Photoshop maps into vector layers.
Here’s how to do extrusions, etc. with the Cinema 4D renderer, if you have a later version of AE.

I would say your best bet is to either create the paths manually with the pen tool or try Auto Trace.
Or trace it in Illustrator, which will probably work better than After Effect’s Auto Trace.

I’d say get a can of green (or any other primary color, really) spraypaint and just use Keylight on it.
I don’t really see the camera tracking. It just seems to be a key. But if you need to do that, I would try stabilizing the footage rather than tracking the camera. In this example there’s practically nothing to track.

The best answer is to contact whoever it is you wish to submit the video to and find out their exact requirements. Systems differ a lot.
As a rule, digital cinema is going to require that “mad” resolution, not standard HD. And the original resolution of the footage may put an upper limit on how much you can blow it up and still look decent.

If you need the effects, pre-compose the layer with the effects, and then apply the mask to the pre-comp.

Any effects on the layer? If so, try turning them off…?
