  • Yeah, the folks on the Facebook group “Moving to Adobe Premiere Pro” helped me out. It seems to get more traffic than this forum lately…

I think it was a conflict between the GPUs. My GPU processor had changed from my nVida Cuda card to an OpenGL card after I updated. I changed it to software mode, then back to my Cuda card. Then video playback worked again.

Before I came upon that solution, I also updated to the newest Mac OS, updated my nVidia drivers, used Adobe’s Creative Cloud Cleaner tool to uninstall all my Adobe products, then reinstalled just the newest update. So any of those things could have contributed to the solution, too.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks Andreas. I’ll look into this for the times it happens on computers. I don’t know if VLC Player was being used or not.

Any thoughts on why this would be happening on DVD Players?

    Hi David,

I just bought the Quadro 4000 for Mac and am encountering the same problem with my current Radeon card taking up all mother board’s power supply.

How is the GeForce GT-120 working out as a monitor card? Would you recommend it?

    Thanks!

February 11, 2012 at 10:34 pm in reply to: Error: The layer exceeds maximum size

Well I figured it out 🙂

Had the CC RepeTile effect expanding a layer to 20,000, which is the max for that effect. When the amount was lessened the error stopped happening.

Hopefully, this will as least help someone else!

Bryson – Thanks for this response. It does bring clarity to going about finding a solution. It seems CatDV may be the best route due to the automation & interface already set for video projects.

    Thanks!
