  • So I just outputted to ProRes and Animation Codec. They both look dark and colder. I brought both in to FCP7 for an A/B Test and ProRes still looks dark but Animation looks good, no shift in it while in FCP7.

  • I’m getting the same thing. When I output to ProRes from FCP7 I get a darker, colder image. When I bring the ProRes back into FCP7 for an A/B test, it stays changed. If I output to H264 it doesn’t shift.

Mark, I did everything, but how do I link a button to that hyperlink? Do I import the pdf into the project?

I really need this problem solved! I have worked to do and paid a lot of money for this software. Can anyone from Zaxwerks help?

Thanks Jon! It’s just hard learning different ways of thinking from program to program. I’m really comfortable with the AE line on thought. Motion and Zaxwerks seem so foreign.

January 12, 2006 at 7:55 pm in reply to: Outputting to DigiBeta

I can’t call the editor, because the editor is me! Hahaha…
I’ve been editing since FCP 1, but like I said previously, everything was always mini-dv.
It’s seems I’m moving up a bit into an area that I’m not that sure about.
Again, the finished product needs to be on Digi-Beta, 29.97, Non-drop with 4 audio tracks. 2 for Vocal Narration, one for sound effects, one for the score.
Since I can’t afford a digibeta deck I was gonna output a finished MOV out of FCP and bring it to a transfer house in NYC.
So my problems are basically setting up my AE comps, which you’ve already answered, and how would I set up my FCP sequences and then how would I encode it?

The whole project is painted artwork that’s in different photoshop layers. That’s why I figured the animation codec would be fine. The end result, on my client’s side, is just going on to DVD’s.

    Thanks!
