I posted this problem a couple weeks ago. I have ProAnimator on my G5 and when I try opening up the setup window in AE7, it freezes everything and I have to quit AE. The stand alone works fine, just the plug in is giving me problems.

    G5- OSx (ver 10.3.9) Dual 2 GHz
    3 G DDR SDRAM

    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hi Jim.

Let’s see if deleting the Preferences file(s) helps.

For version 4.1, we moved the Preferences file into the user’s Preferences folder.

    Try this:
    1. Locate your ProAnimator folder within the AE 7 plug-ins folder.
    2. Find the file called “Zaxwerks ProAnimator Prefs” and delete it (or rename it to something else).
    3. Locate your Library/Preferences folder in your home folder (/Users//Library/Preferences).
    4. Find the file called “Zaxwerks ProAnimator Prefs” and delete it (or rename it to something else).

If this doesn’t solve your problem, please tell me what happens when you open the PA Setup window in more detail.
Does a window open? Is it empty? Do you get the spinning ball right away? Etc.

    Thanks.

Thanks Matt. That didn’t work. It’s done this on 2 different computers. The set up window opens but it only shows the primitive (or text) in the window and the object track with the timeline. Everything else is white. The title bar for the Animation Window is flickering too. If you want, I can send you a screen grab of it. Thanks again.

    Hi Jim.

I’d love to see a screenshot. Thanks.

I’m pretty sure it’s an OpenGL issue, but this is a good start.

Also, please tell me which graphics card you have in your system and
whether or not you’re using dual monitors.

    Thanks.

    Matt,
I’m also having the same problem – my config is:

    Machine Name: Power Mac G5
    Machine Model: PowerMac7,3
    CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (3.0)
    Number Of CPUs: 2
    CPU Speed: 2.3 GHz
    ATI Radeon 9600
    And I’m running 2 20″ cinema displays.

I’ve also tried trashing my prefs, but to no avail.

Also, I still have Invigorator Pro installed – could that be causing a conflict?

I’d be grateful for any help, since I’m trying to use ProAnimator to create a library of graphics to bring into different AE projects.

    TIA,
    Robin

I really need this problem solved! I have worked to do and paid a lot of money for this software. Can anyone from Zaxwerks help?
