I was able to do that but the issue I am trying to figure out is how to make the slices come on screen and reveal themselves like that the pieces are growing to form a full circle.
I really would like to be able to have a glass look for my slices and have the ablity to pull one piece away from the complete circle at the end of the composition to the significance of that one percentage.
I have come across several tutorials to show how to do this in a standard way with AE, but you can not get that true 3D look that I see in Keynote. Am I missing something?
Harry Frank over at Greymachine has a great tutorial that uses expressions and radial wipe to get the effect I like, but how can I do the same in ProAnimator?
I tried making a second object to use as a matte, to block the appearance of my shapes, but I just looks like a radar sweep. I can not get the shape to expand properly to give that radial sweep of the pie piece.

What platform are you on? If your on a Mac you might want to look into Applescript to get this done.
Windows side you might be able to doe something with VBscript? Not sure on that one.

You could bring the logo into Photoshop and break it up into layers. Then import that PSD document as a composition so you have the puzzle pieces you want to animate.
It will give you more control but will require a lot more keyframing. -
I found that after the 10.5.2 update my system was more stable with AE. It also resolved my Nucleo Pro failure issue.

Could you also fake it with a different type of camera in AE?
I would image that changing the focal length and lens style might create a plane that was curved. -
Do you have Illustrator CS2 at least? You could place the image in that and run livetrace, then expand the appearance. It takes some fiddling around but can get you the results.

I had a problems simply ordering plug-ins from Panopticum. There customer support was not available.
But anyway, Dean Velez at Motion Graphics Lab has a excellent tutorial from his Monster series that might help. He recently discounted all his tutorials to one DVD (it is like over 50 lessons I think) You might want to check it out.
I don’t want to push his stuff but some of these examples are fantastic. -
Thanks for your help. I wound up just key framing some elements a few times over in a 3D cube. If anyone ever figures this out, I think it could make for a great effect.

So other than Nucelo Pro (which I have) is there any way to speed up the render times in AE and then the compression times in Apple Final Cut Compressor?
