    i.e. 30 minute show is $400 or $320US

Just to give you an idea of what to charge your clients.
Glad I could help. Good luck.

I think there are some people on this list who are producing for television including myself. We have CPC closed caption software and an SDI encoder box which can do CC and Open Caption, etc.
I think that our software hardware combination cost approx. $15,000US so the investment is quit high to get started. This is why most people send their captioning to an outside supplier.
Have a look at this from their website.

By the way I am not affiliated with CPC at all. It is just the fact that they are one of the only companies doing this kind of software.

Automatic Duck does not make an exporter for PPro. The only ways that I know of doing this is the way you have done it or save an EDL from PPro and open it and recapture in FCP.
I wish there was an exporter for PPro. But not right now.

    Thanks John,
I have passed this on to our editor.
I am suprised that FCP doesn’t allow for this in order to sync to footage, either Hdcam or film.

If all that stuff is onboard then you have to use the driver disk that came with the motherboard.

Yes, we found this out the hard way. We were hoping to keep one of our DS boards running as a framebuffer for Combustion/Max on our graphics machine. We installed the Axio SW codecs and the machine quit. It’s to bad that matrox can’t fix this problem! We had to buy a decklink card in order to get framebuffer for Comb/Max. I would have paid Matrox for the SW codecs if they kept my DS board working.
