The static electricity from your body is the killer of bare drives. Just make sure you have grounded yourself to drain the static before you handle the drives. Most static charges will not harm the drive. It’s just the big ones.
Only handle the drive by the sides and don’t touch the circuit board on the bottom.
I have 20 or so 250gb drives on the shelf.
I usually charge the client for the drives and mark them up 15%
