    Yes, very frustrating.

Well, I went over to the Apple Support Forum and found someone having the same problem when their Inspector was missing. They did the following:

    After quitting Motion…

    1. Hit Shift-Command-H
    2. Click on Library folder
    3. Click on Preferences folder
    4. Find ‘com.apple.motion.plist’ (list should be alphabetical so it shouldn’t be hard to find) and drag to trash
    5. Restart Motion – everything should be fine now

    THIS HAS WORKED!

Thing is though. I did this before performing the un-install and it didn’t help. I, then did the un-install, then upgrades to 3.0.2 and got the problem back and now followed the above instructions and the commands, browsers are back. Very strange. I hope this problem doesn’t come back.

Hopefully this can help someone else.

Thanks for looking at this with me, Stephen.

Thanks. I found that link in a thread yesterday and performed the un-install.

There appears to be a problem with Motion 3.0.2 operating on my PPC OS X 10.4.11 because when I did the install of Motion 2 everything was fine. When I did the upgrades to make it current the File Browser, Library and Inspector window have disappeared again. This is a bug of some sort. It appears that I need to stay on Motion 2 or something to get my work done.

Not Intensity Pro? I don’t understand that one. I really see having Intensity Pro on my next MAC but without On-Air. Wow.

Thanks for the explanation. I could still use it for pre-recorded programming which is primarily what I would use and want it for. Then, post it for viewing with the all of the post work, that could be added to the camera mixing capaqbility.

Ok. Now, I’m beginning to understand.

The animation will start from behind the camera and rollover the logo. So, that’s pretty close up and zoomed.

Yes. Barry, I’m aware of the very in-depth writing you did on the subject. This is definitely I will be getting my mind wrapped around.

Thanks Craig. I agree. They are both great cameras. I will be testing the EX1 in the near future. So, I will soon see if I like it or not. After purchasing a DVX100A (which I plan to keep) I’m already a fan of Panasonic, and, I fully expect them to respond to any competition.

Thanks Rafael. I’m beginning to see myself with an EX1 on next purchase as well. I’m glad I started this thread and got feedback from those who have gotten their hands on the camera and have been blessed to have one at this early stage of the camera life.

    Craig,

Thanks for the links. This is impressive! I love the colors and the DOF with the Letus. The speed effects are great as well. Resolution is awesome! Other than this stuff (which is a great example of what can be done), I’d like to see the camera on a some dolly moves. Comments have been made about the CMOS chips having rolling shutters and all. I admit. I don’t know much about the effects of rolling shutters but it sounds like it could pose a major problem if you’re moving the camera. Any comments?

Like I said though. The images from Phillip Bloom are pretty pretty good. Ultimately, it is about what I see in the end. Workflow is important too though.
