Ok I figured out that ingesting turns clips into QTs that can be moved. Any suggestions on a good compression size for the copies?

This is so bizarre. HDV 1080p 30 or DVCPro 1080p 30 are the only options that allow me to even watch the clips in the viewer. But when I lay them down on the sequence it shows only the upper left quadrant of the frame. (Fit to window is selected.) What on earth?

    Thank you for responding.

I get nice mov’s with Streamclip but when I import them they behave oddly. Loaded in the viewer the screen is just blank white, but it plays out my Cinema display output. If I lay it down on a sequence it is un-rendered. I’ve tried H.264 and Apple ProRes 422 codecs in Streamclip. Any other ideas?

Help is so greatly appreciated, thank you.

    Shane,

Load the clip into the viewer and then control click on the timecode window. From your list of markers there you can send the playhead to one. Not as handy as via the browser, but it helps me a little. You can also do this with sequence markers in the canvas.

    Hope that helps.

Yes the control clicking is exactly what I was hoping for, thank you!
