    Hi Adam,

    Thanks for your response.

So in your case it sounds like it is possible to exchange projects between the different systems? Someone I spoke to at Avid said once a project had been opened and saved by the newer version it would not be readable by the older. I know this is how Final Cut works.

Are you able to have both systems accessing the media at once? Like a Unity situation.

I apologize for my ignorance (I really know fcp better) but really appreciate your help!

Thank you, I will stick to NTSC then. I don’t see any region 0 in my DVD SP options, or in the manual. I’m hoping that selecting all regions will do it. Do you know of another place to check in Studio Pro for region 0?

    Thank you

July 30, 2008 at 5:57 am in reply to: 1080p24 from P2 Pulldown Problem(?)

Sorry to re-post, but I can’t find the solution in any searches here or my manuals or books.

Footage was shot 1080i 60 on the HVX200, at 24P.

When I brought this in originally it repeated frames at 29.97, then is perfect after a reverse telecine to 23.98.

Now I am having to re-ingest a couple clips and they are coming in interlaced, and remaining interlaced after a reverse telecine. I can’t figure out what has changed.

Removing pulldown makes no difference, unless there is something more than checking/unchecking the box required to make the change.

I don’t know what else to do, help?

    Hi Jeremy,

It should have been at 24P. I didn’t shoot it, but B camera was supposed to all be 24P.

    Thanks Dave,

Glad to hear my import process is correct.

I am putting my clips on a 23.98 timeline, I just got nervous when I saw the frames going up to 30 in the viewer. But Shane pointed out that it’s removing frames on the way to 30, which I hadn’t noticed, so I’m all good.

    Thank you for your help

    Hi there,

I am importing footage right now shot at 1080i 24PA.

I remove the pulldown like you say and the clips show 23.98 Vid Rate in the browser and playback looks great.

But if I step through frame by frame in the viewer it goes all the way up to 30.

    ???

I’m confused and very nervous now, because I suggested trying 24PA to the DP.

    Any advice?

    Thank you

Ok, I hope to God I didn’t delete anything from the L&T window, though we have copied drives in storage.

    Thank you very much!
