According to the readme: “Finally, some users were fortuitously able to connect devices that worked at the unsupported 60Hz format. We have now allowed these original signals to pass again.”

I’m guessing that works again! Now i’m just trying to figure out how one connects the MIDI control to the switcher..

  • Easiest way is the Blackmagic SDI to HDMI adapter. Runs around $300 I believe.

I have no idea if the SDK can do it, but I think you’re chasing a non-existent problem. When you overwrite the media in the media pool, it doesn’t keep any ‘extra’ frames if you don’t overwrite them, it erases that part of the pool and overwrites it.

Not possible that i’ve seen. All of the outputs are PGM audio, with the exception of the analog outs, that can now be switched to a ‘Monitor’ out from the audio panel of the switcher. There is no internal audio routing other than the mixer itself.

You may need a small HDMI or SDI router external from the ATEM to do what you’re trying to do.

If you really want to delete stuff in the media pool, reboot the switcher. That’s the only way that I know. Replacing any of the slots in the media pool does wipe what was in there previously, however.

The 1 M/E has 180 frames of motion it can store, no more. I’ve put pretty large TGA sequences in there so I don’t know what the exact memory size is, but probably just enough to store 180 frames of Alpha’d TGA images.

Scott, I have two different systems running the UltraScope, when i’m in the office tomorrow I can take a look at the cards.

I know the one system has an ATI card that was on the compatibility list, that requires a specific driver to work right, the newer drivers had issues with the scope.

What’s your setup like? What cameras and are you locking the 1 M/E to any sort of sync source? Also how are you doing the ISO records, off the aux busses or some other method?

Can you take a screenshot of your settings on the effect?

What works, exactly? On USB 2.0 the only thing you should be able to do is set the IP of the box and upload new firmware. Ultrascope and Media Express will only work on USB 3.

You would either need an ATEM 1 M/E or 2 M/E and do the chroma key in that, or separate video capture cards for each camera. The TVS is a switcher, not a multi-port capture card.
