I’m experiencing brain cramp over what’s probably a stupid question:

How can I make the most of my LG 32LC7DC monitor with the DeckLink’s SDI output?

The monitor was not my choice. Mid-upgrade, I was instructed to remove the reference monitor from my RFQ and “make do” with this existing monitor for a while.

The LG has HDMI/DVI, RGB (D connector), YPbPr, S-video and composite inputs.

Gee, sure wish I could just connect my BNC out to my BNC in…

Any/all suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

Easiest way is the Blackmagic SDI to HDMI adapter. Runs around $300 I believe.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking there ought to be a way to make it happen through HDMI, but I couldn’t come up with one without a purchase. This helped me on push back… now I’m getting something. But, what to get… hmmmmm.

I know this is peripheral to this forum’s subject, but if anyone has any suggestions on an external monitor, I’d love to hear them. It needs to be in the circa 20″ realm, less than ~$2700 and be able to handle 1080p. I’d love to have the ability to have 1:1 pixel mode since I do a lot of After Effects work.

    TIA!
