Might be best to contact developer@blackmagic-design.com to get help with this issue.

Yeah, if you are in the Australia/New Zealand region your support request will go to New Magic (our master Disti in that region).
You can always call up any of our offices directly though the timezone differences may be a challenge. But you are always welcome to call any support office you wish.

Odd issue. I’ve not heard of it before. We have several throughout our company and they don’t seem to be experiencing this issue. If it continues to get disconnected I would check a few things on the network.
First and foremost I’d make sure that videohub itself is set to a static IP and not a dynamic IP. If you are using a USB connected hub then make sure that the host computer has a static IP. If you are using a hub connected via ethernet then make sure that the IP is changed in the Videohub utility.
Also I would verify what kind of wireless security is being used. I’ve not seen a problem with any of the common security types, but it would be interesting to note if the iPad itself is simply becoming disconnected from the network. As a test you can turn the security off (but do NOT leave it off even if it works).
Also you’ll want to check the amount of traffic and perhaps make sure the system has enough IP leases in it’s DHCP pool. If you are running out of leases you could be bumping devices off as others have need for them.

December 19, 2011 at 11:39 pm in reply to: OpenGear UpDownCross converter — Closed CaptionsI think that has been logged as a feature request already. Obviously the bug fix is our top concern currently.

Sorry. I wasn’t clear.
We do have an open bug right now pertaining to the acceptance of RGB signals in the Hyperdecks.
My other point, which seems to be what you focused on (understandable since it seemed to be the focus of my reply).
Sorry for murking up the water on that one. But yes, it’s an issue we know about and are working on correcting. Our other HDMI devices do this fine.

December 16, 2011 at 7:02 pm in reply to: OpenGear UpDownCross converter — Closed CaptionsHey All,
Just wanted to let you know we have confirmed this behavior in our QA labs. We are working on determining how long it will take to fix. It will likely not be in the next release, but the one after. I don’t have any firm dates on that yet.

I’m not sure it’s so simple. I think we need to meet certain requirements and other requirements are optional. But I’m not 100% certain on what. Though we do have an open issue right now where device is not accepting RGB sources as it should (It should be converted to YUV) and output may have a similar issue.

Well, DOA implies that the card is “Dead on Arrival”. But it seems that you had the board up and running in a machine before the OS upgrade.
I don’t necessarily think the card is dead, but it sounds as if the firmware is messed up (which would require us to bring it back to flash). When you updated did the system try to update the firmware on the Intensity?
I mean it could have been a horrible coincidence but it sounds as if the firmware flash failed or was canceled. Either way, just give our office a call and we can talk about an RMA.

SSD requirement remains in place. Traditional Platter based drives will not be properly recognized by the Hyperdeck.
