The price I paid for the TT DVD set was the best money I ever spent. By far, the most comprehensive, in-depth program available. I’ve had it three months and I’m still just comming off Set 2 of 5. 45 hours total of thraining on 15 DVD’s or something. It’s a whopper.

The DVD is crytsal clear, although I had some issues with a DVD that had to be replaced.

Its a solid investment and I highly, highly reccomend it.

Someone will probobly have a better suggestion – however I’d start with a long recrtangle and warp it. If you have Trapcode Starglow – try that on for highlighting.

Seems like a popular question, I’ve wondered myself.

I’m really new to AE but trying to disect and simulate alot of stuff I see on the TV.

Steve’s suggestion regrading attaching multiple Null layers to fine control camera movement seemed to work really well, however I’m wondering how AE processes a project. IS AE only concerned with the math at the scrubber or playbar or are complex 3-D spaces behind and ahead of it going to slow it down?

I’d experiment with the attaching a darker color layer to the mask and using Scribble with tweaks to adjust.

    Are you running open GL?

  • I emailed the design team at MK12 a while back to ask them what apps htey were using because their work is sick its so brilliant – probobly the best along with the team at Belief. All that from a shop based out of Kansas City?!!!

Anyway, the combine After Effects and the 3-D work in Maya.

Sorry if this is a noob question, but couldnt the obects be beveled in Illustrator as 2-D and brought into AE, with animated masks?

    Best,
    Josh

Just saw this and wanted to add an easier alternative of Radio Waves – with a few tweaks. The results can be photo realistic.

I have 8 gigs and I my system rips through enormous 3-D files, so I’d say you can never have too much.
