SCS forgets to make it clear in some of their documents that there is a difference between DVD A Studio and DVD A Pro.
Note the last but one post in the thread I mentioned in my previous post.
AC-3 Pro is a customizable version of the AC-3 encoder. It is the version that ships with Vegas Pro. AC-3 Studio is non-customizable and ships with (Vegas) Movie Studio Platinum.

If you have DVD Architect Studio 5, it’s PCM audio (.wav or .w64).

Most likely, “the reason why this has happened is because a setting in the RENDER AS window has been selected by accident. All you have to do to fix this, is de-select Render Loop Region Only.” (from Dr Zen)

Are you using Titles&Text with one of the @**** fonts? If so, try using one without the @. Or use (Legacy) Text.

Yes I did notice your previous screengrab.
This is what you should see after you followed the steps.

My screengrab is from DVD AS 5 build 157 (not the latest). Possibly a buggy build or a faulty install, if you don’t get the BD option and a user error is ruled out.

[Rick Hughes] “I did try your steps of File new > Single movie > Bluray that does work …. but still concerning about the points above.”

Do you mean you don’t see “Make Blu-ray Disc” on the Toolbar and under File after you tried the steps?

[Rick Hughes] “I have Movie Studio Platinum 12 and DVD Architect 5.0
    Both working fine for DVD
Now starting out on Blu-ray projcets …..

Is there a config or patch required ?”

No. Create a Blu-ray project from File > New and choose Blu-ray Disc format.

The OP uses MSP 12 and the Movie Studio versions do not support nesting projects (or render as MXF), so this old thread is still valid.

There are some points to consider mentioned here when using suggestions from the above thread.

  • Your own screenshots show what is different. See the upper right corner of the FX window and hover your mouse over the three column options. Click the option you want to use.

    [Graham Bernard] “What’s an NLE?”

Non Linear Editor as opposed to a linear editor (ie tape of film). Remember film or videotape?”

This must be Grazie B’s sensayuma on the loose again 🙂

    See here (post 3).
