Hi. I want to learn something about Lower Thirds and Watermarks. How can I put them in a live streaming video please? I see that there is a lower third or watermark in live streams on TV. How please? Thank you.

Live streaming not a job for Vegas.

    Hi,
Grazie is quite right bugs / watermarks are added by the broadcaster after the fact yet lower thirds are added by the content creator. That said the question is confusing for they are two different things that serve different purpose. So may I ask if perhaps you wished to learn how to create a watermark or a lower third?

    Hi,
you need a device like this: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/atemtelevisionstudio/

I’m sure there are other similar products around.

    [mark thompson] “Hi,
you need a device like this:”

And Mark, to be totally clear, that this is NOT for a Vegas Online solution? – Correct?

Grazie, that is correct – nothing to do with Vegas.

Perhaps I should have said … Vegas does not do real-time but there are other products on the market that can do this. I suggested one such product.

No harm done, I was wanting to make sure that our chum here was not thinking that with this device he had a home run within VP.

Hi. Thanks for all replies. I know how to create Lower Thirds. I only thought that they created on vegas pro! I went wrong about it. So, what is the main purpose we use the Vegas Pro? Thank you.

Consider Vegas or any NLE to be a pair of electronic scissors to aid in arranging digital media.

    What’s an NLE?

    [Graham Bernard] “What’s an NLE?”

Non Linear Editor as opposed to a linear editor (ie tape of film). Remember film or videotape?
