Yes I thought there must have been a reason as well, especially since I have done another 5 episodes of these music videos for them that were all on the green screen, so I e-mailed asking, is there some special reason for this? No is the answer, and no one could give me a reason why they did it. Looks like I’ll be working for pennies on the dollar for this one.

This probably isn’t your solution, but just remember that lights only work on 3D layers, are the layers you want your lights to work on set to 3D?

Hmm, I know this isn’t answering your question at all, but anytime I use it I pre-compose and never have a problem with the effects, if you have figured it out let me know what you did.

I am sure you are probably familiar with Andrew Kramer’s tutorials, but most of them contain camera movements, some more advanced than others, but I would say it’s a nice starting point, it’s not everything you are looking for but just going through his tutorials will help you immensely in other areas of AE as well, I’m sure a large number of people can attest to that on this forum, so if you haven’t checked them out heres the link.

Hey there, Andrew Kramers tutorial on 3D stroke is what I think exactly what you need, about half way through he explains how to properly link your position handles from your particle to your null object.

Hey Mike, I have figured it out, I guess I should respond back when I figure something out. I had the Bend value set to high under transform in my 3d stroke layer. The higher the bend value the more compressed your stroke will be. Which makes sense, just took some trial and error on my part to realize that was my problem.

As well my temporal interpolation is set to linear for my keyframes, I cannot change my spatial interpolation as it is greyed out.
