Activity Forums Adobe After Effects 3D Stroke

I realize there is a Trapcode forum, but it is rarely visited, so hi guys! Anyways it’s late and my brain is shorting out, I have a simple planet, earth pic cc-sphere right. I want to create a 1 second stroke that runs up around and the earth to reveal it. I almost have it, but the stroke for whatever reason will not expand past 1/3 of the screen in width, so it cuts through the earth, I have tried rotating every which way, playing with my points on my stroke but they never expand it wider, just up and down. It is kind of like the effect that trapcode has on their website that runs up around the 3d text, but that is on a smaller scale and works fine for that, sorry if I havent articulated it well, I can upload a screen shot but basically I cant get the stroke big enough to wrap around the outside of the earth. Thanks

Do you have any example vids or pics. I am having trouble visualizing what you are asking.

Hey Mike, I have figured it out, I guess I should respond back when I figure something out. I had the Bend value set to high under transform in my 3d stroke layer. The higher the bend value the more compressed your stroke will be. Which makes sense, just took some trial and error on my part to realize that was my problem.
    Have a good day,
    Jon

Glad you figured it out. I hate to see posts or questions go unanswered and help whenever I can.

    Best of luck
