FCPX has very specific requirements in terms of the locations of project and event files. It also has issues if two projects or events have the same ID.
So for these reasons we don’t recommend using Post Haste to directly manipulate project files. We recommend you use it to manage media only or create templated FCP XML files that can then be imported into FCPX.

Are you running the 7.0.3 update? It’s the only version that was stable for me on Lion.

You may need to do a Save As to cause a significant reduction in size after removing elements from the project.

If you only uninstalled selected components, you must run Software Update after reinstalling. Otherwise you end up with a newer version of FCP trying to communicate with an older version of Compressor.

Why do people care so much whether FCPX has tracks or not? I think Apple has made its position clear on this. If you want tracks, use an NLE that has them. That’s what I do.
