Silly move guys. Should’ve stayed with the PC. cs4 will be 64-bit, only on PC. Why are so many people jumping on the Mac band wagon? Now they all run on Intel Chips there technically PCs.
PPro only just came back to the Mac and it is an inferior version of the PC one. There are very limited effects and transitions on the Mac version. Match Color is one that I use plenty with Multicam work, Mac don’t have it. Or the transition you’re wanting to use from a PC based project. Sorry.

If you are already on a transition it needs to be deleted. This shortcut will only work on cuts, not transitions already there.

It will then force the clip to use the Channel of the name of the filter you are using, it’s still mono, but comes out of both speakers.

Not sure I understand the question or your workflow? If you have a second monitor connected to the Dual Monitor Graphics card you will be using the cards overlay function, which you’ll need to make sure is switched on in the cards settings, and then with the Playback Settings in PPRo. Can you clarify your workflow? What you want to do with another reference monitor?

June 25, 2008 at 1:12 am in reply to: How can I add a different speech audio track and still work in the source monitor?Besides re-rendering out something from the timeline with the correction you can’t just group stuff and use them as a mended clip in the source monitor. its a place for trimming original media, not adjusting it.

Sorry Mate, this is not do-able in CS3 I usually have fingers over shortcut keys, Ctrl+D and move the playhead near the cut points with the mouse and keep slamming the shortcut.
However CS4 looks like it will have this function along with many others we’ve been crying about for many years. I’m praying that cs4 gets many workflow stuff right and no bugs!

June 25, 2008 at 1:07 am in reply to: How do you separate camera angles to different video tracks after performing a multi cam edit in Adobe Premiere Pro CS3?I hear what you’re saying and the answer is no. What I do is cut then, as you would be doing anyway is refine. Use the Roll Tool, (N) to move the cut point, it does exactly the same thing as overlaying on another layer, but keeps everything neat on one line. If you want to just work on the cuts use the trim window, (T) and jump from one cut to the next hitting play to see a lead to/play past the cut of about 4 secs.
The multi layered camera angle might seem a better way to do this work, but its actually more time consuming as the trim window won’t work properly, slowing down the whole checking and refining process. The Roll and Ripple tools work inside the Trim Window.

It’s called Interlacing. Don’t worry about it. Cover the bottom and top of the clips with a layer above all with a small amount of black bar top and bottom only need about 3pixels each end.
If this is for TV don’t worry about it. It’s normal. If you want it on computer you’ll need to crop.

June 23, 2008 at 4:33 am in reply to: Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 crashing when exporting to MP2If you are trying to use the noise filter with export it’s so not worth it you will be waiting a lifetime and then it might crash. 96 minutes on a Quad Core shouldn’t take days. Plus 96 minutes should fit onto a single layer disc at a CBR rate only needing to render through once. Look online for an MPEG2 calculator. I’d say 7Mbps would work.
Also do you have any images in the edit? They might be too high res causing problems.
Worst case export AVIs broken up and put them back together in a new project then export that for MPEG2 should be about RT then.

Is the project using AVI files or MPG based? Trimming function don’t work with the files other than AVI based. HDV won’t do it coz it’s based on MPG codec.
