If you have opened a 5.5 project in CS6 you may experience the project panel search filter to go grey and restrict availability.
Try to save and restart.
If this doesn’t work, then try to start a new PProCS6 project and import the 5.5 one, be sure to select “Entire Project” at the dialog box.

Try using three way cc for secondary. A map with colour sampled zone will get you there better than curves. Pull the white output levels down to 235 and tweak the gamma on input.

If you are crossing platforms from Mac to Win there could be issues in proxies there. Example being some QT formats that are AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec) don’t work on Win. ProRes does with the latest QT or the ProRes decoder installed but that doesn’t include others like AIC XDCAM/P2 etc.

Hi Daniel,
I see you have been editing with Adobe software for many years, which is great!
Understandably every editor has their own way to work and Adobe is very open about creating options for editors to work their own way.
The Shuttle and Jog controls have been around for a long time. I have been editing for over 12 years and never used them once I found JKL control and using the playhead (CTI for many versions) was simply faster and less mousing.
If you really love a workflow with a shuttle and jog, I’m surprised you haven’t got your hands on a proper wheel. It is way quicker to use that than you pull and position and reposition with the mouse.
There are many varieties of the wheel, a simple wheel only or something with buttons across it which can be assigned with shortcuts, and again boost productivity once you get used to it.
It’s entirely upto you. I personally feel gaining more real estate for content is more important to me than buttons I don’t use and haven’t for years since I know the shortcut keys.
I doubt it will come back to the UI. One never knows but even if it does come back a wheel is still a great way to go.

There is all the control you need in Jkl and shift modifier combos for gradual speed playback. Hold k and tap j or l for single step. Hold shift and hit j or l for 1/10 speed increment playback. Really no.need for them. Hasn’t been for long time IMHO. – JB

Hey Greg. Nope. No such luck. I use both platforms plenty and have just become accustomed to it. Holding Ctrl is not such a big deal for me.
There was some reasoning behind the slight keyboard differences with Pc and Mac versions. I accepted it and let it go. Can’t recall what it was.
Main thing is that the feature exists! 😀

Installation clearly states that quicktime is to be installed before PPro is. So you may need to rerun the installer.
