Anyone find a way to scroll up and down (not side to side) in the timeline?

Answer: yes! Finally scroll up/down like FCP!

Is there a way to change it so it scrolls up and down by default, and sideways by holding ctrl? Scrolling up and down seems much more useful- I WOULD like the idea of scrolling sideways if it didn’t move so slow…

Hey Greg. Nope. No such luck. I use both platforms plenty and have just become accustomed to it. Holding Ctrl is not such a big deal for me.

There was some reasoning behind the slight keyboard differences with Pc and Mac versions. I accepted it and let it go. Can’t recall what it was.

Main thing is that the feature exists! 😀

THANK YOU!! I was pulling my hair out. it obvious helps to be able to scroll vertical on a timeline. with the magic mouse, you can scroll left-right/horizontal anyway, so it makes sense to set this to vertical and be able to scroll vertical AND horizontal. A nice time-saver–everyone should do this.

ADOBE Preferences/Timeline/Timeline Mouse Scrolling = vertical
