I hope you add more integration with Sony Vegas? Sony Vegas now is the hottest NLE out there. Even though it’s having so bugs problems. I have recently surf the net on different forums and Google Vegas on YouTube. Vegas is now 1st or 2nd on many forums. The amount of users and tutorial they have out their have now by pass Adobe Premiere, FCP and Avid. I was really surprise!!!

Yes…I am using Version 8. But the features I really need to use are in version 9. What I am trying to say IS…. there is a lot of customers are having problem with this version. Right now, they need to announce a working spec to run the latest upgrade or create hardware to make this work.

Like I said version 8.c works great. But I need the light effect, focus, white balance, mega pixel etc, all to work properly. I forgot to mention ProTitler flicker sometimes. I heard these same problems with other customers.

    Thanks:)

    Norman and Alf,

I have reformat my harddrive. Don’t tell me it works great in version 8 on the same computer. And Vegas 9 will start having problem within the first 5 minutes on the same computer.

Well all of these other guys are having the same problem.

I agree. It seems like the more features they add the less stable a responsive the program becomes. I’m embarassed to hit the playback with clients in the room because I never know what the performance will be from day to day. An a note to Sony – Utilize the freakin killer video cards that are out today. Using the CPU for video playback is just stupid in today’s environment. I hope Sony really invests in version 10.

    Hi Norman,
Those training DVD are great place to start. But I am talking about multilevel compositing and 3D parenting to child nesting.

Also the enterworking with 3D titling using real world projects. Please don’t gives us examples using generates media.

I think Vegas can be the number one software for independent documentary filmmakers.
Please add more tools for filmmaking. Work with the Sony hardware camera team more, but I do starting see evident of that now. Take advantage of 24p,include and create specialize 24p filters and update the velocity tool.
They have to update their alpha swipe fx and speed change etc.

    Hey Ken,
I have the same problem…dragging the event from the project bin. Then it’s starts to freeze. Yes I have reported to Sony!

    No Ken,
It’s Vegas 9… If you look at Sony Vegas Pro Forum you are getting a lot unhappy customers feedback. Vegas Pro 9 crashes all the time so I went back to using version 8.c. Furthermore, when Vegas Pro 8 first came out, that version had so many problems until 8.c build corrected 98% of the problems.

Vegas Pro 9 crashes even went using DV. I need to use Vegas Pro 9 with all the new enhancements they are the new white balance, lights and focus filter etc.

They needed to offer highend tutorials like Boris Red, Adobe Affect Effects, Avid, and Final Cut Pro is doing. For the longest I’d email Boris Red to offer more tutorial on their software. I knew I was not getting the most out of it. Now my skills have really jump up on using Boris Red. SCS is really close.

Google Digital Juice.com….they have a tutorial on Using Double Alpha Swipes in Vegas. A Step-By-Step Flash Based Tutorial.

Also, Training: Swipes! Mattes in Vegas Using Luminance Masks in Vegas with Swipes!

Then the last one is Setting Transparency in Sony VegasCompositor’s Toolkit – Sony Vegas Training Lesson.

    Thanks:)
