Definitely not interlacing. I’m wondering what format the projector is expecting and if it’s doing any frame rate conversions on the fly? Also have you tried another media player? Try VLC and see if you have the same problem.
You might consider buying an HD media player for your home theater system instead of using a PC. I have a WD TV HD Media Player and it plays everything I throw at it. It has HDMI out and could hook directly to your projector. Just attach any USB hard drive with videos on it and you are all set.

Check the media properties in Vegas and make sure it matches the properties of the real media. Perhaps Hava captures at 15fps and Vegas is misinterpreting this at 30fps which would make it play twice as fast.

You probably can’t. Sony Vegas is designed to capture video from cameras via firewire. I’m sure the Hava has no firewire and probably has a proprietary USB interface which only their software can work with. Most of these TV capture devices are like this and require you to use their software.

Sometimes Vegas will not unload properly because it can’t shutdown the audio interface. Make sure you have the latest XP drivers for your Mac audio card (if that’s even possible???)

Yes, if you are color correcting to the preview window. If you are using the Windows Secondary Display, you can toggle Computer RGB on in those settings so no need to add the FX. Also if you use an external monitor via firewire there is no need for this. It’s only needed when color correcting via the preview window and then it can be removed before rendering.

The AJA Xena LHe and LHi have both SD and HD i/o so you could use one of these. The LS and LSe that I listed are SD only.

I would use Levels, Color Corrector, & Color Curves in that order. Glenn Chan has a great Color Correction Tutorial on his web site. Glenn also teamed up with our own Douglas Spotted Eagle to create the VASST Absolute Training for Vegas+DVD, Vol. 4: Color Correction with Sony Vegas. which will take you step by step through the process using the tools that are built into Vegas.

Right above the area that you type in a response to this post is a line of icons/buttons for bold, italic, etc. The 3rd button from the right which looks like a camera is the Image Upload button. It will allow you to upload an image and then it will give you some HTML to add to your post so that the image gets embedded.

The default behavior for events is that they loop. So if you extend an event out past the end of the media, it will start playing the media back from the beginning. This might be happening to you.
If you are finding events that play where you don’t want them, this is usually caused by keeping Ripple Edit turned on. Check so see if it is enabled. You should keep ripple edit off until you really need it. Otherwise it will shift events on the timeline when you might not want it to (without realizing that it’s happening).
