Thanks for your suggestion John. Unfortunately after trying all the above it still comes up with the “your vegas pro trial has expired” box and it still won’t let me enter the serial.

I have given up and have sent the details to Sony support…….hopefully they can let me know what has gone wrong….probably me inserting the serial into the trial version for a starter??
    Thanks again for your time.

Already tried all the above as suggested John. For some reason even after uninstalling the trial and reinstalling the downloaded 10c version it still opens up with “your trial has expired” and when I try to input the serial that i got via email from Sony when I purchased the full downloadable version it says “the application will restart to complete the upgrade process” and then it takes me back to the same “your trial has expired” box. Any ideas??

Thanks guys, yes I will review my practices. I usually check that my captured files are in a capture folder on the project drive. It usually defaults to this folder but seemed to go to my documents folder for some strange reason ??

Thanks for the suggestion Stephen I will check the drive and back up of course.

I usually only have about 60% of C drive full but these were large captures so filled up the drive which may have caused the crash too.
I’ve learnt the hard way. Oh well, start again 🙂

Sorry to but in guys, but I have the same issue but need to transfer a hd project from vegas to premiere pro for some final tweaks. Does the Avid DNxHD Quicktime codec apply the same for premiere ??

That is what I thought too Jim but not sure that explains the pulsing that happens (around 1 per second) that is especially noticable on still shots from my camera but does not show up on their studio shots which I expect are encoded at the same bit rate. Sometimes my footage is mixed with theirs, mine pulses and theirs doesn’t. Any more suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the help guys.
I have Movie Studio Hd Platinum 10, looks like I have to do it manually still as there does not seem to be anything like ‘scripting’ located under tools in this version !!(unless I am going blind??)
